The method of challenging:

Allah (SWT) says: “O men! Here is a parable set forth! Listen to it! Those upon whom you call besides Allah would not be able to create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! And if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition! They do not value Allah as He should be valued. Allah is the Most Powerful, the Almighty.” (XXII: 73-74)

Al-Shaikh al-Zindani commenting on the verses, says: “A Western team of scholars studied (the secret of life) and discovered that the tiniest substance of life is the DNA, which has a very small structure. Then they found that the biggest structure of DNA is that of the fly, whereupon they declared that they had discovered the secret of life and then they manufactured something exactly like this DNA. The natural DNA that is extracted from the fly usually revives when water is added to it, but when they added water to the man-made DNA id did not revive.

Allah (SWT) challenges mankind and jinns to create flies. Now we see them unable to create even a single fly.[1] The challenge will be valid till the Day of Judgment.

It has been also discovered that it the fly tries to pick up something it first pour on it some of its saliva, whereupon the substance of that thing changes into another substance,[2] in which case man cannot restore the original substance the fly has taken because it has changed into something else. Thus humans cannot create even a fly, which is one of the tiniest and meanest creatures. Nay, they cannot even restore what a fly has taken from them. What about what is greater and more importance?
