Noah (peace be upon him):
The Torah says about Noah: “And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.”[1] See how they attribute drinking wine and drunkenness to Noah (peace be upon him) despite his being a Messenger sent by Allah. Here Noah gets angry and excited because when Ham—his youngest son—saw his father’s private parts he did not know what to do and went out to inform his older brothers to cover their father’s private parts. Yet Noah cursed him, whereupon Allah approved this curse. Noah did not curse Ham himself but cursed Ham’s son. What was the sin of Canaan who had not been born yet? Moreover, how did Noah know that Ham would have a son called Canaan? This is nothing but one of the fabrications of the Jews who invented the story to curse the Canaanites “the Palestinians” who were the dwellers of Palestine before the Children of Israel.
