3. Pilgrimage:

Pilgrimage to Jews means visiting Jerusalem. The Torah says: “Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.”[1] This means that it is enjoined on every male Jew that he visit Jerusalem three times. “Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.”[2] Since the Temple is nonexistent now, they perform their pilgrimage to the Wailing Wall. Nevertheless, they do not abide by the teachings of the Torah, for both males and females perform the pilgrimage.

Dr. Amad Shalabi, the author of the Jewish Encyclopedia, says: ‘Every adult Jew has to visit “Jerusalem” twice a year and stay for one week each time and the week should start on a Friday.”[3]
