Sub-section Four: the Doctrine of Trinity invalidated by the sayings of Christ (peace be upon him): 1. Jesus (peace be upon him) says in John: “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”[1] So, Allah (SWT) only is the true God and all other gods are false. As to Jesus, he is a Messenger sent by Allah (SWT). 2. When one of the scribes asked him about the greatest commandment: “And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord…”[2] So this is the greatest and first commandment that Jesus brought from Allah, for it was the commandment of all Prophets (peace be upon them). 3. In Matthew we read: “And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God…”[3] So, Christ (peace be upon him) refuses to be called good out of modesty, as you say to someone:”O great man!” and he says to you: “I am not great, but it is Allah that is great.” We find Jesus (peace be upon) him deny his being good while he is a prophet. How can you then say that he claimed to be a god? This is inconsistency. |
