After Crucifixion on Friday evening a man called Joseph came to receive the body of the crucified person. In John two men are mentioned.[2] He was then placed in the grave, and the high priests asked Pilate to let them guard the grave lest the corpse should be stolen.[3] This is mentioned by Matthew exclusively.
