Sub-section One: Texts from the Holy Scripture that deny the Divinity of Jesus:

First: Texts from the Old Testament (Torah)

  1. We read in Deuteronomy: “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.”[1]

  2.  In Deuteronomy also we read: “the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.”[2]

  3. In Isaiah we read: “Thus saith the LORD … I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” So Allah (SWT) declares that he is the First and the Last.[3]

  4. In Isaiah also we read: “thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth.”[4]

  5. David says: “….[5]

  6. The Prophet Nehemiah says: “Thou, even thou, art LORD alone.”[6]

  7.  In I Kings we read: “That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.”[7]

1.    We read in Deuteronomy: “There is none like unto the God.”[8]

2.    Job says in his Book: “For he is not a man, as I am.”[9]

3.    David (may peace be upon him) says: “O God, who is like unto thee!”[10]
