Second: Texts from the New Testament (the Gospel) indicating Monotheism:

1.  The greatest Commandments and the first of them all. A man asked Jesus about the

 greatest Commandments and the first one of them, and he answered: “The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord…. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he.”[1] So, Allah is the Lord of all people and the Lord of Jesus (peace be upon him), for Jesus (peace be upon him) said: “Our Lord said.” Therefore, Jesus (peace be upon him) is not a Lord, for a Lord cannot have another Lord; otherwise, the other Lord would have his own Lord and so on till we have an endless series of Lords, which is unreasonable.

2. Jesus (peace be upon him) says in his address to the students: “I ascend unto my

 Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.” So, Allah (SWT) is figuratively the father of Jesus (peace be upon him) and the students, as well as his and their God. The students are equal to him, or are they gods, too?[2]

3.     Jesus (peace be upon him) says: “that they might know thee the only true God, and

 Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.”[3]

4.     Jesus (peace be upon him) also says: “…and seek not the honour that cometh from

God only?”[4] The text clearly confirms the Oneness of Allah.

5.     Here we have another text where Jesus (peace be upon him) says: “And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.”[5] Thus, Jesus (peace be upon him) warns his people confirming that there is no deity on earth but Allah in the Heaven. So there is no paganism but monotheism, for Allah in One in the Heavens, and Jesus is no more than a teacher on earth and not a god or son of a god, as the Churches allege.
