Texts from the Gospel that confirm the falseness of Crucifixion: 1. The Gospels state that Allah responded to Jesus’ supplication and sent an angel from heaven to strengthen him and to let him know that Allah had not abandoned him, but would save him from those criminals. Luke says: “And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.”[1] “he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared.”[2] 2. Moreover in the Gospel of Barnabas we read that the person who was killed and crucified was Judas Iscariot. Barnabas says in his Gospel: “Truly I say that the voice, the face, and the person of Judas were so like to Jesus, that his disciples and the believers entirely believed that he was Jesus.” He said also: Jesus said: ‘Truly I say to you, I did not die: it was Judas the traitor. Beware, Satan will make every effort to deceive you. Be my witness in Israel, and throughout the world, of all things you have heard and seen.’”[3] 3. It is mentioned in the Gospel that the soldiers were looking for somebody to capture, whereupon Jesus came up towards them and said: “Whom seek ye? They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he:”[4] So he tells them that he is Jesus twice but they do not believe that because of the resemblance. Again why did they go backward, and fall to the ground? What happened? Something very important must have happened that caused them to go backwards and fall to the ground. Yes, the angel of the Lord had descended from heaven. Is not this enough evidence to his safety? 4. When they asked the captive whether he was Christ he answered them, saying: “If I tell you, ye will not believe. And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.”[5] This answer confirms that he was not Christ. In Matthew when he was asked whether he was Christ his answer was: “Thou hast said.”[6] 5. When Christ (peace be upon him) appeared to Mary Magdalene, she thought he was the gardener. Ahmad Deedat says: “Now why should she suppose that he is a gardener? Do resurrected persons look like "gardeners"? No! Then why does she suppose him to be a gardener? Because he is disguised as a Gardener! Why is he disguised as a gardener? Because he is afraid of the Jews! Why is he afraid of the Jews? Because he did not die and did not conquer death! If he had died, and if he had conquered death, then he would not be afraid anymore. Why not? Because a resurrected body cannot die twice! Who says so? The Bible says so. Where? In the Book of Hebrews 9:27. It says: ". . . It is ordained unto all men ONCE to die, and after that the judgment.” [7] |
