truthful Prophet. “Also mention in the Book
(the story of) Abraham: He was a man of Truth, a prophet.”

Lot was the Prophet of purity.
“Lot
said to his people: ‘How could you commit such an abomination,
publicly, while you see?’”
(XXVII: 54) The people of Lot
said: “Banish Lot’s family from your town;
they are people who wish to be pure.” (XXVII: 56) |
The Torah accuses Lot of fornication.
It alleges that his two daughters gave him wine to drink and then lay
with him and each of them gave birth to a child by him. |

Allah (SWT) says about Jacob (peace be
upon him): “We gave him (Abraham) Isaac and
Jacob. Each of them We made a prophet. And we gave them of Our mercy,
and assigned to them a high and true renown.” (XIX: 49-59) |
Jacob cheats his blind father Isaac
and pretends to be his older brother Esau: “And Jacob said unto his
father, I am Esau thy first born,” to secure the blessing of being he
firstborn and deprive Esau of it, and he succeeds to gain this with
the approval of the Lord.

Concerning David (peace be upon him)
Allah (SWT) says: “And assuredly We
gave David grace from Us.” (XXXIV: 10)
In the Sahihain, the Prophet (peace be upon him) is reported to have
said: “The most endeared prayer to Allah is that of David and the most
endeared fasting to him is that of David.”

In the Torah, David is portrayed as a
criminal, a usurper and a murderer. |

Concerning Solomon (peace be upon him)
Allah (SWT) says: “He said: ‘My Lord! Forgive
me, and grant me a kingdom.’” (XXXVIII: 35)
“He said: ‘My Lord! Direct
me to be appreciative of the blessings You have bestowed upon me and
my parents, and to do the righteous works that please You and admit me
by Your mercy into the company of Your righteous servants.’”
(XXVII: 19) |
The Torah describes Solomon as being
so fond of women that he worshipped the gods of the heathens amongst
them.

Note: All the Prophets without an
exception are the best of Allah’s creatures. They performed their duty
perfectly and faithfully. |
The Prophets, as we have seen above,
are described as liars, tricky and impure and even criminals. |
In the Gospel Jesus says about the
Prophets: “All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers,”
albeit in another position he says: “Think not that I am come to
destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to
fulfil.” |
