The Qur’an denies that Christ is the son of Allah:

“That was Jesus, the son of Mary, and this is the truth of this matter, about which they continue to doubt. It does not befit Allah that He begets a son, be He glorified. To have anything done, He simply says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is. Lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path.” (XIX: 34-36)

The Qur’an denies the divinity of Christ (the Messiah):

“They indeed have disbelieved who say: ‘Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary.’” (V: 17)

“O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a Messenger of Allah, and His Word that He conveyed to Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His Messengers.” (IV: 171)

“And when Allah will say: ‘O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you say to mankind: ‘Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah?’ He will say: ‘Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I had said it, then You would have known it. You know my thoughts, and I do not know Your thoughts. You know all the secrets. I told them only what You commanded me to say, that: `You shall worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.' I was a witness among them for as long as I lived with them. When You terminated my life on earth, You became the Watcher over them. You witness all things. If You punish them, they are Your slaves. If You forgive them, You are the Almighty, Most Wise.’" (V: 116-118)

“The Messiah (himself) said: ‘O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! Whoso ascribes partners to Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden Paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers.” (V: 72)

The Qur’an denies Trinity:

“They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no god save One. If they desist not from so saying, a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve.” (V: 73)

The obligation to believe in what was revealed to him:

“Say (O Muslims): ‘We believe in Allah and that which is revealed to us and that which was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have surrendered.” (II: 136)

The Disciples are cited as examples to be followed with respect to support and true belief: “O you who believe! Be Allah's helpers, as Jesus son of Mary said to the disciples: ‘Who are my helpers for Allah?’ The Disciples said: ‘We are Allah's helpers.’” (LXI: 14)

“But when Jesus became conscious of their disbelief, he said: ‘Who will be my helpers in the cause of Allah?’ The Disciples said: ‘We will be Allah's helpers. We believe in Allah, and bear you witness that we have surrendered (to Him).’” (III: 52)

“And when I inspired the Disciples, (saying): ‘Believe in Me and in My Messenger,’ they said: ‘We believe. Bear witness that we have surrendered (to You, as Muslims)." (V: 111)

So, the Qur’an highly praises the Disciples, while the Gospel of Christians describes them as unwilling to support Christ. Peter, the chief of the Disciples is claimed to have denied him three times. On another occasion, when the soldiers attacked and arrested Christ, as they believe, all the Disciples are said to have fled leaving him alone without a helper.

Raising him and the denial of his being killed or crucified:

“Behold! Allah said: ‘O Jesus! I will take you and raise you to Me and clear you (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow you superior to those who reject faith, till the Day of Resurrection. Then you will all return to me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein you dispute.’” (III: 55)

“And because of their disbelief and of their uttering against Mary a tremendous calumny, and because of their saying: ‘We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's Messenger’—they slew him not nor did they crucify him, but it appeared so to them; and lo! Those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain. Nay, Allah raised him up to Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgment he will be a witness against them.” (IV: 156-159)

The Qur’an denies the killing and crucifixion of Jesus. If this had not been the truth and if Muhammad (peace be upon him) had not been retelling what had been revealed to him, he would not have incurred the hardship of opposing the doctrine of Christians in Christ, and it would have been easier to attract them through approving their belief in the killing and crucifixion of Christ.

Following is a brief comparison among the three religions, bearing in mind that the doctrine of Christians concerning the Prophets is the same as that believed by Jews and occurring in their Scripture, which they call the Old Testament.
